Building Over a Building Case Study
Weather delays can wreak havoc on project timelines and seriously affect the bottom line. When construction projects fall behind schedule, meeting deadlines and achieving performance bonuses become a necessity. Traube Tents & Structures specializes in developing creative, cost-effective and timely solutions to meet the needs of our diverse client base.
Traube Tents & Structure was approached by a construction contractor whose project had fallen behind due to the harsh Midwest winter weather. The contractor was constructing a 14,000-square-foot building with drive-through lanes. Following an initial site survey, Traube Tents & Structures recommended covering the entire job site with a 40Mx40M (132’x132’) engineered structure with a 5.4M (17’) leg height. The temporary structure would provide ample room for heavy equipment to operator within the enclosures footprint and allow for material delivers to be sheltered. Traube Tents & structures was also tasked with completing the above installation without shutting down the active jobsite.
The jobsite enclosure was a success. The contractor was able to finish construction of the building and concrete pours, ahead of schedule, despite the weather. Traube Tents & Structures received glowing reviews from the contractor and the end user. Mid America Contracting CFO, Jim Daech, remarked “They did a great job for us with this tent throughout the project!” The installation was so successful that the contractor commented that next time Traube Tents & Structures would be included in the initial bid.
Traube Tents & Structures CEO, Steve Traube, commented “Tackling unique projects, exceeding client’s expectations and delivering cost effective solutions is in our DNA at Traube. Through Traube’s Construction & Industrial division we provide stock and custom installation deliverables anywhere in North America.”
