DoubleTree Hotel in Chesterfield, MO has proudly announced the grand opening of its new tented event center on May 1st, 2023. The tent (membrane) structure is a permanent building addition to the DoubleTree property that is fully climate controlled to comfortably host special events and functions of all kinds - 365 days a year. It can accommodate up to 400 people for a roomy sit down dinner party, weddings, bar mitzvahs, corporate functions, charitable organization fund raising galas, art auctions…the list goes on.

The tent structure boasts 6,500 square feet of clear span space inside, meaning no interior columns hinder flow, table or stage layout. It presents a panoramic floor to ceiling glass grand entrance with both glass and insulated opaque 14’ side walls with an interior vaulted ceiling height of 23’. The HVAC and fire suppression systems are tastefully designed and installed to compliment any interior décor used for different events. The open floor plan and high vaulted ceilings provide excellent opportunity for decorators to theme events with creative interior decoration and staging, and they can easily add audio/visual/specialty lighting provisions as desired.

The event tent structure had to jump out with impactful curb appeal, provide an open, airy and congenial atmosphere and the event space had to offer both a closed off storage area and a 750 square foot covered veranda patio bar - able to serve 50 guests - which overlooks a new outdoor tennis court complex.
You might be asking, “Why a tent?” Well, from the time of confirming their order to the time of the event center’s grand opening, it took only seven months to deliver a magnificent new event space. Building costs were significantly less than what a “bricks and mortar” structure would have cost.
